On the 7th Ramadan, 17th March 2024, Janala UK hosted a memorable Iftar Mahfil at Tea Revolution in East London, bringing together Trustees, Executive Members, volunteers, and esteemed guests. The event provided a cherished opportunity for all attendees to break their fast together and foster camaraderie during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Distinguished figures including Trustees Dewan Murshed Raza Chowdhury, Aminul Ahsan Tanim, Mohsinur Rashid Chowdhury, and current Executive Committee President Dewan Mahid Raza Chowdhury graced the gathering, along with Vice-president Mostak Ahmed, General Secretary Iftekhar Ahmed Siddiqi, Asst. General Secretary Monjur Ahmed Arif, Treasurer Toufiqul Alam, Media Secretary Zuber Muhammad Khaled, Strategic and Planning Secretary H Al Banna, Asst. Media Secretary Fawzul Azim Evan, Organising & IT Secretary Mustak Nadim Sany, Asst. Organising Secretary Al Yusuf Rana, Event Secretary Azhar Kawsar and other valued executive members and volunteers.
The presence of esteemed guests like Dr Monowar Hossen, President LSUK, Business Consultant and renowned Community Activist and Dr Mehedi Hasan Bhuiyan, Senior Regulatory Affairs Associate at Gilead Sciences, added depth to the event. Dr Monowar Hossen commended Janala UK's past endeavors and encouraged the organization to embark on more sustainable projects for positive societal impact.
During the gathering, Janala UK's president outlined past projects and shared future objectives and goals, while executive members recounted their experiences and stories associated with the organization.
The event concluded with heartfelt dua for the future of Janala UK, as well as for the well-being of the community and humanity at large, followed by a communal breaking of the fast, symbolizing unity and solidarity among all participants.
Trustee Abadul Hasan Shimul missed the event due to health issues but provided moral support in organising the event successfully. We pray and hope for his speedy recovery and hope to meet in next event all the other valuable members missed out in the event.
